Data Mariners is a consulting practice that helps teams architect resilient cloud infrastructure, engineer reliable data pipelines, and secure the networks that connect them — charted by rigorous, math-backed thinking.
What we do
End-to-end help across cloud, data, networking, and security — from first blueprint to production and beyond.
Scalable, secure, cost-aware architectures — hub-and-spoke topologies, role-based access, and load balancing designed to grow with you.
Virtual networks, peering, routing, and DNS wired for performance and resilience — so traffic flows where it should, fast.
Site-to-site and point-to-site VPN tunnels that link offices, clouds, and remote crews over encrypted, dependable connections.
Schema design, normalization, and governance that keep data fast, consistent, and trustworthy — from modeling to query tuning at scale.
Robust ETL/ELT pipelines that pull from many sources into a trustworthy warehouse — with concurrency to keep pace as you grow.
Analytics, ML, and lakehouse patterns that turn big data into decisions — high-volume processing that scales without capsizing budgets.
Defense-in-depth — segmentation, firewalls, zero-trust access, and monitoring that keep threats out and data safely aboard.
Single sign-on, MFA, and least-privilege access — governing who comes aboard and what they can touch across every system.
Modern, maintainable applications and dashboards — from internal tooling to customer-facing products that surface real insight.
Platforms & tools
Vendor-neutral guidance means we recommend what fits your goals — not a logo. We design, migrate, and operate across the big three — and the data and ML tools that run on them.

Who's at the helm
Data Mariners is led by Connor Adams, a BI manager and applied mathematician who turns messy, complicated problems into clear models and clean data pipelines. The work is grounded in rigorous thinking, good tooling, and a habit of teaching along the way.
Across roles building analytics and ML for a national logistics operation, Connor has led cross-functional cloud-architecture migrations (hub-and-spoke, role-based access, VPN, and load balancing), designed normalized database schemas in MySQL, built resilient ETL pipelines on Databricks, and trained models with TensorFlow and scikit-learn.
How we sail
Four stages that take you from uncertain waters to a destination you can trust.
We assess your current state, goals, and constraints — mapping the waters before setting a route.
We design the architecture, data model, and security posture, and agree on a clear plan of sail.
We implement and deliver in iterative legs — shipping value early and adjusting to the conditions.
We harden, document, and support — so your crew can operate confidently long after we dock.
Set a course
Tell us about your project — a migration, a pipeline, a security review, or something entirely uncharted. We'll get back to you to plan the first leg.
